Rational Technology is a new company specializing in reliable and economical software and hardware for builders of rockets and related systems. The main product continues to be Hybrid Design Program which I sold for over a year before I formed Rational Technology. Hybrid Design Program (HDP) is a program that helps you design hybrid rocket motors. It calculates numerous parameters and simulates the burn of the motor. Coming soon:Data Logging SystemA data logging system combining load cell power supply, amplifier and analog to digital converter (ADC) into one unit will soon be available. The system will have 12bit precision and will be economically priced. Servo Actuated Ball ValvesDevelopment of a line of servo actuated ball valves is nearing completion. The valves will be available in sizes from 1/4" to over 1" full flow. The valves are lightweight and compact for their sizes. Ideal for flight or test stand use. Some specifications and features:-High torque servo ensures reliable operation. -3 Bit digital input, allowing the valve to be moved to the fully open and fully closed positions as well as 6 repeatable intermediate positions. -Connect inputs to +5 to set high. Easy to connect to a micro controller, a PC's parallel port or a manual switch. -Fast. Time from fully closed to fully open is less than 0.2 seconds. -12V DC. 11mA when idle, ~1.5A when changing position. -Weight ~300g (1/4" 50bar 4:1SF valve) |
